Once I have signed the PK Consignor Agreement, do I meet with a PK employee to look through my items that I plan to consign?
No, you will not be meeting with a PK employee at your scheduled drop appointment. You will be dropping your items in a bag that has your consignor # and name written on the bag. Please use a black sharpie marker on the bag to write the information needed. Please use bags that you do not want returned (trash bags work great). You will receive an email confirming your drop once we process your items. You can expect to see your items loaded into your SimpleConsign account within 5-7 business days after drop. Your consignment period begins once the items are priced in our system.

Prepping Your Clothing
Do I need to iron/steam any of my items before dropping them to PK?
No, our PK team will iron/steam your items if needed. You are more than welcome to iron/steam your items if you prefer. We would never be upset with anyone about that.
Do my items need to be freshly laundered and clean at drop off?
Yes, if your items have been worn, please have them freshly laundered. If you see an item with a stain prior to dropping off, please try to remove the stain. Stain removal is not a service that PK provides.
If I am a returning consignor, do I need to schedule an appointment to drop?
Yes, please email us at hello@palmerkennedy.com or message us on socials to let us know you have more inventory that you would like to consign.
Do you take boutique items?
Yes, we do. We love boutique items!
Do you accept shoes?
Yes, we do. The shoes need to be brand new with the box or never been worn other than trying them on around the house.
Do you accept formal gowns or wedding dresses?
No, we do not accept formal gowns or wedding dresses.
Do you take workout leggings or shoes that have been worn?
No, we do not. If you have shoes or leggings that have been worn 1-2 times, please email us at hello@palmerkennedy.com and send pictures. We can absolutely talk through it with you.
Do you accept skinny jeans?
No, we do not currently accept skinny jeans. Due to a change in denim trend, we are not accepting this style right now.
Do you take out of season items?
Palmer Kennedy is a seasonal boutique consignment business. Please only drop items that we are accepting due to seasons. We do not have the space to store any off-season items. No exceptions.
Do you accept Target, Old Navy, Amazon, etc?
.... Forever 21, H&M, Kohl’s, Wal-Mart, Aeropostale, Aerie, American Eagle, Express, Loft, The Limited brands or brands similar to these. While we love these brands, they do not sell well in the consignment business due to the deep discounts that these brands offer in store and online.

What if I drop off items that do not meet the brand or quality expectations of PK?
Please do not include items that are better off donating. We will not sort through your items to figure out if they should be in your donate pile or consign pile. Please do this prior to dropping off. If you accidentally include an item with a stain or a few items that fall under the donate category, that is completely ok! We are happy to extend grace where it is necessary. We just want to be very clear on our expectations as a business. We do not provide a service to go through items that are better off being donated.
Please ask yourself when you are going through your items - are my items in mint condition?
With all of that being said, we only accept items that are brand new with tags, never been worn before without tags or items that are in like new condition. We will not under any circumstances accept items that have stains, pilling, odors or any type of wear. We require you to bring the best of the best to consign with us. If we receive items that do not meet these requirements, you will be charged a $40 sort fee. Palmer Kennedy will send a $40 request through Venmo or deduct $40 from your consignor payout. Do you have a service where you can help sort through my closet?
Yes, we do. We offer a PK Concierge service to schedule
an appointment with someone from our team to come to your home and help you sort through your items on what you can consign and what would be best to donate. Please message us through socials or email us at hello@palmerkennedy.com if you would like to set up an appointment with our team.
Sell, Sell, Sell
Will my items be posted on Instagram?
We feature many items on social media. We have thousands of items in our inventory. Unfortunately, we do not have the capacity to post every item that we receive. If your item is not posted on social media, it will either be placed at one of our pop-ups, Poshmark or donated if it does not meet our criteria to sell.
How can I access my inventory on SimpleConsign and see what has sold?
PK consignors can access their inventory anytime you want! You will receive an email from our team to access your online account through SimpleConsign once you become a PK consignor and you will be able to view your sales in real time each time you log on. Full transparency is what we are striving for with our consignors.
If I have a credit on my account from PK consignor sales, can I use that credit towards PK purchases?
YES! You can absolutely use your credit towards PK purchases or you can cash out your entire balance. If you see something that you want to purchase on socials, the PK website or if you attend a PK pop-up, just simply let our team know that you would like to use your credit and we will handle the rest. Easy peasy!
What if I don’t have any sales when I log on to SimpleConsign?
If you do not have any sales for one month, our hope is that will change for the next month! Please do not let this discourage you. We would love to tell you that we have figured out how to sell everything, but we haven’t been able to get that yet. Your items may sell the following month as we want to sell them just as much as you do. We all win when things sell and we will give it our absolute best to make that happen.
What if I don’t see some of my items in SimpleConsign when I log into my account?
If you do not see an item that you dropped off in SimpleConsign, that simply means the item did not meet our criteria. The item was either damaged (stained, had an odor, torn, etc) or not on trend. Those items will be discarded in our donation pile for The Wrap Around Closet and Oak Cottage. This does not mean to include items that are better off donated. We will happily extend grace if there is an item that accidentally is included in your drop bag(s) that was overlooked when selecting your items to consign.
What if I have luxury items that I do not want donated?
Please include those items on the consignor agreement to let us know what specific items you do not want donated. Examples of luxury brands: Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Burberry, Dior, Gucci, Hermes, Armani, Fendi, D&G, Prada + many more. These types of items will be returned to you if they do not sell within the 90 day consignment period. If you have any other brands that are in question, please ask us and we can help you.
Does PK donate my items if they do not sell within 90 days?
YES, we do. Once the item is 90 days old, the item will be removed from inventory and donated. Palmer Kennedy donates to two different local ministries in Franklin, Tennessee. We donate to The Church of the City's Wrap Around Closet to help foster families in need and to Oak Cottage who helps provide a safe residential environment to help women transition from incarceration to responsible citizenship at no cost. We do return items that are pre-approved luxury pieces that do not sell within the 90 day consignment period.

How do you price items?
The pricing is determined by market value, condition and appearance with the intention to sell the item with the highest potential profit. Palmer Kennedy reserves the right to re-price items at any time. PK's original list price will be marked with a line through the price online if the inventory is 30/60/75 days in our system. The original retail pricing is not listed on our website. If an item has been listed for 30 days, you will automatically receive 15% off, if an item has been listed for 60 days, you will automatically receive 25% off and if an item has been listed for 75 days, you will automatically receive 50% off. Our price tags will also reflect these discounts when you shop our pop-ups. Once the item is 90 days old, the item will be removed from our website/inventory and donated to The Church of the City's Wrap Around Closet to help foster families in need (unless the item is a pre-approved luxury piece - it will then be returned to the consignor).
What is my percentage as a consignor?
PK consignors earn 40% of the net sale and PK earns 60% of the net sale if the item(s) sell at a PK Pop-Up event, social media, or Poshmark. If you have a luxury item, the consignor and PK % will vary depending on market value.
How do I receive payment for my sales?
We pay PK consignors through Venmo. You must have a Venmo account to consign.
